sailor overalls sewing pattern tutorial

Hello! It's so hot that showing your legs is almost obligatory...and what's better than a pretty pair of overalls to be comfortable! With its bows on the shoulders, its fully lined bust and its bias buttoning, Sailor is the most stunning of overalls , and the shorts version makes it a summer-playa-apéro compatible model ;) The pattern has been part of the Maison Fauve collection for several seasons (it belongs to the SEW ME TENDER collection ) and it remains one of your favorites... no more excuses for not filming the video tutorial of the pretty SAILOR dungarees short version :) The pattern already has a step-by-step photo available in the tutorials section of the site for the pants version HERE I bought this pretty jacquard last week during a quick trip to Mondial Tissus... you know that little so-called flash trip where you say you're coming for 2 zippers and some thread... and where you go home with your arms full of coupons hihihi! It was the end of a booklet, the color was great, in other words an impulse buy. I hesitated between sewing a SABLE jacket or the pretty SAILOR... the current temperatures decided for me. I have several pretty versions of Sailor in my closet, including a pair of ultra-cool tweed dungarees shorts but not suitable for summer. This jacquard fabric has a good hold, which makes the pleats of the shorts and the cuffs stand out well. This sewing pattern can also be sewn in denim, chino fabric, cotton satin. I'm giving you the link to the fabric HERE (be careful, it's a fabric that frays very easily, so plan to have an overlocker on hand). I slipped my new little favorite, the Blush camisole , under my Sailor. Under the blazing sun, it's a perfect combo. For the photo shoot, I wanted a dressed-up outfit: a little heavy makeup, high heels, a precious bag and impressive jewelry. But a white t-shirt or even a denim shirt will also be perfect with my overalls. The fabric is very busy, despite its dark colors it is a little satiny and calming down by shifting the outfit towards a cooler touch is an option that I will definitely choose. At the moment, are you more "dressed like never before even in summer" or "vacation I forget everything, drop the heels"? I'm giving you the link to the pattern in the pocket version HERE and the PDF version HERE I really want to sew it again in a less dressy, slightly flexible fabric. It's a quick model to sew (especially if your fabric has a bit of stretch because there's a way to put it on without a zip ;) ). At the moment, setting up the workshop is keeping us busy and working on the new collection is involving a lot of "underwater" sewing, but I promise I'll try to keep up the pace and regularly publish other tutorial videos.

Come on, let's go to the assembly video of the SAILOR short overalls
