Sewing pattern tutorial: How to sew the Ressac sweatshirt?
The Ressac sweatshirt is a concentrate of style and comfort:
-
A perfect cut, neither too wide nor too tight, which does not constrict,
-
A length designed to not reveal the back when worn, with sleeves long enough to slip your hands into if it is cold (all the measurements of the finished garment are available on the product sheet and in the sewing pattern brochure),
-
Raglan sleeves, for a slightly vintage sporty look,
-
A large front pocket with a very particular design which is different from the classic kangaroo pocket,
-
Inserts that structure the cut, provide a unique style and allow you to play with fabrics,
-
And of course, my hobby, two small clips to embellish the neckline. They have no "use" since this is a pattern sewn in knit fabric, but they are so pretty!
To sew your pattern, we recommend using a serger with a 4-thread overlock stitch , sewing will be faster with impeccable finishes and a "more durable" garment, which will not risk being damaged quickly over the washes. But the assembly can also be done on the sewing machine with the special jersey elastic stitch of your machine and a suitable needle. The seam allowances are included and are 1 cm , you will have to take this into account when assembling your garment with the overlocker.
For any questions regarding the choice of fabric, I invite you to consult the Nomade FAQ .
