An iconic collection
Empire State Of Fauve is a collection that you really liked when it came out. We received a lot of messages telling us that you loved the idea of a wardrobe that can be worn in both an "office" and an "evening" version, timeless pieces, beautiful timeless pieces (highly desirable ;)).
Each season, I work to design the collections so that each pattern matches the others, and so that we can "navigate" in the universe of the collection according to our desires: a blazer, a small short jacket, a beautiful pants pattern, a shirt with perfect details, a worked blouse, a devilishly feminine wrap dress that also comes as a blouse... All these patterns offer a perfect playground. I imagined a city woman, who likes elegant, comfortable clothes, and a wardrobe that goes to the essentials but without leaving aside a note of originality, a singularity that signs the Maison Fauve silhouette.
Obviously, the choice of fabric will be essential to the style of your sewing: a blouse will not have the same look in brightly colored viscose or in delicate lace, a leopard jacket will not say the same thing as a British jacket in navy tartan... Let us make suggestions for each pattern in the Empire State Of Fauve collection.
One costume can hide another…
The Manhattan jacket and Brooklyn pants are a natural match. To reveal the potential of this outfit, I suggest 2 fabrics that are polar opposites in style, but just as attractive:
-
A strict/chic look in our tartan wool
-
A glam' rock look in leopard jacquard Fauve Party

An easy-to-wear blouse
The beautiful Chelsea blouse is characterized by its pleat work, which is even better revealed in plain. For this little marvel, you have the choice between:
-
A graphic look thanks to our range of viscose twills in full and vibrant colors
-
A neo-romantic look in our beautiful lace: in red, green, black or ecru, our Botanica lace is unrivaled in bringing a precious and sophisticated touch to your creations.
-
The purity of our ecru tencel, luminous and which goes to the essential

A shirt that plays with classicism
The Skyline shirt has a perfect cut, beautiful proportions, and especially the little twists dear to my heart: beautiful stitched pleats, and an open back option. For Skyline, bet on soft fabrics, which mark with an iron, and rather light for a soft look:
-
A beautiful printed poplin that subtly reveals the pleats
-
A vaporous cotton veil, for a bohemian Skyline (plain colors are always successful on Skyline!)
-
A magnificent jacquard, like our beautiful Lily, in white or black, to bring a sophisticated touch to your hand-sewn shirt

The most couture of little jackets
The Métropolis jacket is one of my essentials, I love its slightly cropped cut, its cut, its bands that embellish the bust and play on the volumes, and you will surely have noticed the nod to couture icons: a collarless jacket, with double buttoning like an embellished bib... You will have understood, I am crazy about it ;)
And there is nothing more versatile than Metropolis:
-
For a simple and elegant jacket, opt for our tartan wool, which will have a perfect weight and drape.
-
For an original little jacket to wear every day, discover the Loop jacquard and the Botanica jacquard in the Ink version.
-
Fancy a spring jacket? Go for our bright coral Loop jacquard, or our ecru Botanica jacquard delicately embellished with lurex floral patterns.
-
And for a show off version: again, nothing like our beautiful Fauve Party jacquard

The essential wrap dress pattern
In a SoHo dress , you feel beautiful! Its cut is nicely cinched by darts and a belt that has the particularity of not cutting the waist. The wrist has a small cutout (the kind of detail that doesn't jump out at you but makes the discreet charm of the elegant SoHo). In addition, it will follow you summer and winter thanks to our free sewing hack that allows you to decline it without the sleeves. In blouse or dress, you have to bet on soft fabrics:
-
Our Lily or Léo viscose jacquards, with beautiful drape and satin patterns
-
Our plain twills, for an unforgettable dress
-
Our printed poplins, all light and whose patterns will dance to the rhythm of your steps

I can't wait to know what creations this collection will inspire you: more street/chic in Brooklyn/sneakers and light Skyline, more bohemian in SoHo lace and velvet suit, more 70's in printed SoHo? It's up to you!
