Panama is back, with some great new features!
And hello!!! Here it is again, Panama is making its big comeback and it is enriched with pretty new features that the pattern is now offered for sale. Panama had been made available to you for free until May 15 as part of a crazy contest, and the countless versions sewn by the participants made me want to offer an even more complete pattern...so I worked and it is with 2 great collars and a possibility of mounting ruffles on the sleeves that Panama 2.0 is available . Here are the wonders ;) First of all the pretty flat collar, for a version in double gauze Nani Iro which was offered to me by the haberdashery Permacouture . The patterns of the fabric are just incredible, and if double gauze is not my favorite fabric, I must say that here we are dealing with the Rolls Royce of the genre. I feel like I am wearing an impressionist painting when I put it on. The version with the collar and collar stand is sewn in a beautiful Pretty mercerie viscose with a large Vichy pattern. The collar is a fall of the cotton blouse wonders from Eglantine et Zoé . For the sleeve bands, I took the detailed template for the largest ruffle of my beautiful lace version and the piece is available in the pattern. Be careful to choose a pretty fabric on the wrong side as well as on the right side! Obviously I didn't want to penalize all those who sewed wonders by forcing them to buy the pattern again, so these new elements are available separately in a bonus pack ( available here ). The pack is for all those who ordered and registered the Panama pattern during the offer period. Many of you contacted me after the contest ended because the pattern was unavailable (I had to rework all the files to insert the new elements, as well as the brochure, which affected the links on the site) and I tried to answer everyone by sending the boards back to those who had not registered them in time. This will no longer be possible. The original pattern has not been modified, except for one legend (back piece of the top mistakenly marked "at the fold" on the pattern). Several seamstresses found the pattern too big or too loose. The top has a deliberately loose effect, especially at the armholes, which is not necessarily compatible with a bra. FYI I am a 36, for a small 90B, and all the top versions that I wear are cut in 36. You can definitely have a more fitted effect by cutting a size smaller (I tested it for myself following your comments, and I confirm that it is indeed in 36 that I prefer to wear it). If you want a Panama bra compatible in a sleeveless version, I advise you to choose the blouse pattern and not to sew the sleeves. No worries about too pronounced neckline or risk of visible straps! It's up to you, Panama has not finished surprising you and you are not likely to get tired of it. I have also decided to offer you in pdf format, in addition to the pockets, most of the Maison Fauve patterns. I am currently working on the files so that you can find the pdfs in A4, A0 and US letter format (and the patterns will also be offered in English). There are a lot of Maison Fauve patterns now, it takes time but I will make sure to offer you the models quickly in "waves" as I finish doing the conversions. I understood with Panama how high the wait is for this format. I understand of course that the shipping costs are high on the covers, and that for many people abroad it is the only way to have access to the models. To be honest, my only real reluctance is the fear of "piracy" and the massive sharing of patterns. This has already been seen, brands have paid the price for these practices. But it is unfair to penalize everyone for a handful of disrespectful people. And then fear is not a driving force that moves forward, and I do not want to grow Maison Fauve by holding myself back because I am apprehensive about a situation. I will communicate via Instagram about upcoming releases, and do not hesitate to take a regular look at the eshop pdf pattern section! Have a nice day, seamstresses!
