Yellow in all its forms: how to wear the flagship color of summer?
Canary, lemonade, mimosa, or buttercup, yellow is THE color of the season. Whether you like the bright and punchy Yellow Sulfide, or the softer and very summery Yellow Fizz, discover my ideas for looks and mix and match with other colors. In a total look, associated with nude tones, playing on contrasts or on the graphic stripes, sprinkle a zest of lemon on your summer outfits!
Total little lemon look
Yellow works very well in monochrome. You can keep the same tone and really support the idea of a total look like in my Mimosa and Cosmopolitan shorts suit in Sulfure gabardine.
But why not use it in different materials: that's what I did by pairing my Mimosa gabardine jacket with my Daïquiri dress in matching Sulfure lace.
It will also be possible to create a monochrome that combines several shades of yellow: the brightness and depth of the yellow varies according to the tones and materials chosen, the result can be really interesting.

Combine yellow and nude tones
Married with more neutral tones like greige, beige, sand, or even a very soft pink tone, yellow becomes the star of the outfit. These color combinations allow you to have fun with yellow, which is a strong color, while maintaining a look that is easy to adopt on a daily basis. It's soft, it's chic, it's refreshing... Irresistible!

Combine yellow with cool colors
The shock of color contrasts seems striking, but it's all about dosage. Yellow is a primary color, it is used in the development of many intermediate colors such as khaki, lagoon blue, meadow green. Depending on your desires, you can combine yellow with another strong color for a color block outfit, or distil it by touch on an accessory, or even the back of a collar or the lining of a jacket. It is also possible to associate it with a color in pastel tones: we then return to the idea of the association of yellow and nude. I played on this more nuanced option by associating the very bright Sulfide Yellow with our Smoky Blue, a very soft blue-gray.

Summer stripe game in Dolce Vita style
The yellow and white stripes act like a postcard of a waterside holiday: the deckchairs, parasols and lemon-flavoured Italian ice cream immediately come to mind like a summery Proust madeleine.
Our Berlingot Jaune Fizz polyviscose voile is perfect for sewing yellow and white striped looks like the Skyline shirt , the Malibu polo shirt with its contrasting white collar or the beautiful Cuba Libre dress .

The most elegant of bees
One could wonder about the relevance of associating black stripes with yellow, one could… But it works wonderfully! I still prefer to opt for associating a striped piece with another in plain yellow fabric, for a little adorable preppy look. A beautiful sun skirt and a slightly tight striped cardigan, striking yellow pants that match a little sailor-style top, the charm works and it's not so confusing in the end… Is yellow the new black?! :)
