Bewitching Cicadella dress

Building a collection of patterns involves creating a global wardrobe, by combining models that address techniques that make them very constructed and will help you progress and more accessible models for a smooth sewing experience and a wow wow wow result ;) .

The Cicadella blouse is one of the sewing patterns that are also aimed at beginner seamstresses , with magnificent finishes and available in several versions. Supported by princess seams, it has a very pretty neckline, several sleeve finishes and a worked cuff in its long sleeve version which signs the pattern.

A model that will follow all your sewing desires

The Cicadella blouse is assembled with French seams, which allows for high-quality finishes and allows the model to be sewn in a wide variety of fabrics, including lace. The pattern also includes all the information so that you can choose to sew a classic blouse or a lined blouse .

In addition to a blouse pattern with 3 sleeve variations , we have posted a video step-by-step to show you how to make the dress version of Cicadella very easily. The model presented in this step-by-step is not lined, it is sewn in our pretty Jardin Fauve Sable et Noir viscose poplin . I really fell in love with this little dress that is easy to sew and wear, so I wanted to do it again in a fabric with which my dress would be even more spectacular: the lace released during the Fauvae Botanica collection .

My little lace dress

My new Cicadella dress is just irresistible! I made exactly the same adjustments as in the dress adaptation tutorial , and then followed the assembly line of the pattern. Nothing changes in the assembly, the pieces are just a little longer. All the information (cutting plan, fabric consumption) is available here in the dress hack article.

I wear my little dress with high calfskin suede thigh boots, a little retro in the 60s style, and I accessorized the silhouette with heavy necklaces from the Isabella brand worn in accumulation (my little lace dress is all the more precious and sophisticated).

I sewed Cicadella in Green Scarab lace , lined with the matching cotton voile . Our pretty lace and cotton voile are also available in Cherry Red , Deep Black , Cinnamon Orange and Ecru … Which color will make you fall for the most adorable trapeze dress?!

Bonsoir,
Cette nouvelle petite robe a toute d’une grande : de jolies finitions, un style aussi intemporel que classe, une belle encolure. Bravo à l’équipe.
