Bermuda Party: the parade of looks in Brooklyn revisited
Here we go for a little series of looks in Brooklyn Bermuda shorts! After having presented to you in the Journal de Maison Fauve this hack much too easy and so cool of the Brooklyn pants pattern, here I am again to show you in video my favorite outfits around the Bermuda shorts .
I opted for 3 looks, each quite different from the other, with the Brooklyn Bermuda shorts sewn in our black end-to-end wool tailoring as the centerpiece.
Cruise look in Bermuda shorts
For this first outfit, I replayed an 80s classic that hasn't aged a bit:
-
Very flexible black knee-length Bermuda shorts
-
A small knitted tank top with sailor stripes (this one comes from Sézane)
-
The very shouldered, quite long, falsely loose Mimosa blazer jacket
-
A pretty Celine belt and Louboutin sandals for the designer touch
This look is very feminine, smart, a bit preppy, I love it!
Bermuda shorts for every day (and for the evening!)
This outfit announces the return of several of your favorite patterns:
-
The Pompon suit vest , a free pattern that we offer you in PDF format, a real must-have and above all the perfect sidekick for my Bermuda shorts. In a matching fabric, it has it all!
-
The Pilar jacket : the perfect little denim jacket, which takes the drama out of any outfit, for a look that immediately takes itself less seriously.
-
The Mimosa jacket : this time sewn in golden Fauve Party jacquard , it will be the ally of a turnaround... I'm leaving my denim jacket for a stunning jacket, I'm keeping the same clothes otherwise, and that's it!
The neo-bourgeois look in Bermuda shorts
This time I'm going all out:
-
Very high black leather boots that fit under the bottom of my Bermuda shorts (the Brooklyn length was specially designed for this purpose, you know ;))
-
The Spritz tank top sewn in our beautiful Acanthe lace , or how a simple top becomes the most precious of little tops (so easy to sew too)
-
My Bermuda shorts of course
-
The Métropolis jacket , also in wool, which adds a bit of pep thanks to its length and cut.
This outfit plays on proportions:
-
The silhouette is elongated by the monochrome from the jacket to the boots (and without any interruption of visible skin on the knee)
-
And at the same time the length of each garment gives rhythm to the line.
This is my favorite look, the one I dreamed of when I worked on the Bermuda shorts. It is loosely inspired by Hedi Slimane's first shows for Celine, and I find this outfit incredibly charming!
