Abstract Rose, The Story Behind a Fabric Print
Abstract Rose printed viscose poplin: The floral elegance of the À L'Ombre Des Roses collection
A modern floral inspiration
Each new Maison Fauve collection features a signature print, which embodies the universe and aesthetic that I wanted for the season.
The secret garden of the Fauvae Botanica Winter 2023 collection opens for Spring-Summer to softness and poetry. The Abstract Rose print is the quintessence of the À L'Ombre Des Roses collection. The rose is a timeless subject, which offers several levels of interpretation: love and passion, but also mystery, and a certain notion of the ephemeral. The floral motif in fashion can be embodied in a collection with retro influences or vintage, to accentuate the romanticism of a style, the British charm of a look. An inexhaustible source of inspiration in fashion, the flower can be discreet, appearing in small touches, or triumphant like a gigantic bouquet all over the outfit.See the entire collection
My desire for the Maison Fauve wardrobe: a duality between a romantic allure, a soft femininity brought by lace and soft cuts (the ruffles of Belle Épine, the vaporous cut of the Hespéride blouse), and striking prints.
Here, the rose is worked like an abstract painting, it is guessed more than it appears. The trigger was the acquisition of a small painting by the artist Clara Bryon, an oil painting from her series "Le jardin de Colette." This painting gave me the impression of a small window opening onto the garden of my childhood, with a blurred effect that lets the imagination speak. I see a little of Monet, a little of classical painting, and above all a lot of poetry.
This idea inspired me to define our motif. I wanted the rose to be the primary subject, but also for the design to leave room for imagination. The motif is vibrant and bold, and the season's color palette will offer you vibrant outfits.
A vibrant color palette
The Abstract Rose print comes in a wide range of colors:

Blue : A pattern full of nuances, from deep blue to bright blue, on a worked beige background, like precious porcelain. Very original, this color goes nicely with all shades of blue, ecru, white, beige, but also with black. See the fabric
