Sew the Primrose Dress in lined Blue Acanthus lace

The PRIMROSE dress will make you the most beautiful to go dancing... Twirling thanks to its skater skirt made of panels, it is stunning in the open back version, or more demure in the closed back version. The neckline of the dress is delicately indented. The front of the bust is gathered, and the back is cinched by an elastic slipped into a belt. The remarkable detail of this pretty sewing pattern: the pleated and twisted cuff, like a signature on your hand-sewn creation (this detail is always offered, whether you choose the buttoned cuff finish, or the simplified version cuff without button).

Sewing level : intermediate , the technical points are the creation of the pleated cuff, the tear-proof slit on the buttoned cuff version, the creation of gathers, the installation of the elastic.

SEAM ALLOWANCES INCLUDED (1 CM).

***ENGLISH NOTICE AVAILABLE WITH YOUR PATTERN***

The Primrose pattern is sized from 34 to 52. The finished garment measurement chart is available in the product photos.

Emilie is wearing Primrose in size 36.

- Fabrics in 140 cm width:
34-38: 220 cm
40-44: 230 cm
46-48: 240 cm
50-52: 265 cm
- 6 buttons between 10 and 12 mm for the buttoned cuff version
- 40 cm length of iron-on adhesive for the neckline and cuffs. We use G710
- 1 elastic band 2 cm wide , length to be seen in finished garment measurement table

If you are sewing your dress in a fabric that requires a lining, we recommend using our cotton voile fabric, and the yardage needed to line the skirt part + the front bust + the inner cuffs is 180 cm.

Fabric choice : only warp and weft fabrics. I recommend a fabric with a soft drape, which drapes nicely: a twill, a crepe or a viscose poplin, a fine jacquard, a soft and light wool for winter, or even a beautiful lace, fabrics weighing 100 to 250g/m2 depending on the desired result.
