Belem is much more than a pair of summer shorts/trousers: with its belt loops that extend the front of the garment without being interrupted by a seam, its wide belt, its beautiful volume, and its elegant high waist (but comfortable thanks to the elasticated back), you can sew cotton shorts as well as very chic trousers in light wool cloth.
The Belem pattern is a pair of trousers, the leg outline of which includes a delimitation in order to adapt it into shorts using the instructions described on page 5 of the brochure. This video also illustrates this transformation of the pattern.
