Party girl mode activated!
Hello! As promised, here I am again with a special "dressed like never before" article ;) Ahhhh the twinkling lights, the sparkling champagne, I don't know about you but personally, I don't turn down the pleasure of having a drink and taking out the most show-off pieces from my wardrobe! So I decided to give you a little overview of the Maison Fauve outfits that will be perfect for the occasion. And since we're starting to get carried away with the deadlines to receive the packages and sew a sequined marvel, I chose to present you with models that are available in PDF format: the Bonnie cape dress , the Sybil dress and the Tamara dress . You can find the selection of PDF patterns HERE Let's start with the beautiful Tamara , the latest addition to the SEW ME ARTY collection. A long, wrap dress with open sleeve detail...a little gem of femininity! And these are 2 new versions that I present to you. A dress version with irregular polka dots, a bit retro in this print, with the flexibility of viscose for an airy, fluid look, and a neckline that crosses at just the right depth (for your information I am wearing a bra and I did not put any pressure. The neckline sits very well, with the offset bust clip it makes the bust "fit" despite the wallet). And a second "blouse" version, in a very "evening" lurex cotton fabric but offset with the jeans. I cut the skirt portion to a height of 23 cm to make the bottom of this tunic. This allows you to keep the pretty pleats of the skirt, and to tuck your Tamara into pants or not. This fabric has hold, I didn't need to interface the facings unlike the viscose version. I bought it before AnnaKaBazaar closed, and I was keeping it for a "popular" project. This tunic version will also be great with a lighter fabric. And thanks to the magic of Instagram, it's the very successful tunic version by Tamara from @la_rose_qui_coud that motivated me to try to shorten the pattern... BAM it's so pretty! The second model I wanted to show you again is the Bonnie dress . This model is both very simple (no sleeves, no collar, no zip) and very elaborate (the studied position of the cape's cutouts, the perfect back neckline with a bra, the proportions of the cape and the dress part). Sewn in a luxury crepe from Cousette, my beautiful scarlet dress always has its little effect :) And the cut of the cape is completely adapted to use your arms without hindrance (hey hey, over here the champagne tray!). And finally, a little gem that you really liked during the CSF, the beautiful Sybil dress sewn in Pretty Mercerie lace. This fabric is beautiful, it highlights the cutting details of Sybil's pattern without amplifying the volume. I kept the very pretty lace work on the bottom of the dress and the sleeves. I did not modify the pattern but I also cut the "skirt" part in a lining to avoid having the buttocks exposed. The bust is already planned with a lining. This emerald color goes perfectly with the gold of the buttons, the sandals... a little gem I tell you! And you, for the holidays, is it more dress or blouse, "shiny" or worked fabrics like lace or velvet? This year for me it will be Tamara, blouse, dress...I am spoiled for choice ;) And if you follow me on Instagram, take a look at my stories to find the videos of the shooting (I put the link to my profile HERE ). I wish you to have a very beautiful holiday, a little interlude of sweetness and love for you and those you love. Emilie
