Summer in an embroidered dress...and a pretty low neckline!
Good morning!
You know my love for worked fabrics, and especially English embroidery. So how can you resist when it comes in more colors ;)
I had been falling for this pretty coupon from Pretty Mercerie for a while and I had planned to sew it with the other embroidered beauties that we had presented during the Carnet de Voyage collection shooting. But sewing 4 wardrobes took us a little short, and this nugget was patiently waiting for its time.
So here is my new Byzance dress , whose sienna tones are perfect for this summer. The creation of all these pretty pleats is made quite easy with the broderie anglaise, cotton not being a fleecy fabric. And the hold of the fabric gives a very pretty, more held drape to the skater cut of the dress.
The particularity of Byzance is therefore in the folds that border its neckline, and in its double neckline in front AND back, very feminine. We have proposed a free version of the back of Byzance to download in order to allow it to be sewn also in a finish that allows to wear any type of bra, but this is how I like it the most, with its plunging back.
I wear this version without a slip or lining, and the slight transparency of the fabric is no problem for me. But if you wanted, for example, a beautiful Byzance in white embroidery, don't hesitate to slip a Blush slip underneath.
I'll see you very soon, with a new product that I hope will delight you as much as it does me (spoiler alert, a new product will be joining the collection of free Maison Fauve patterns ;))
Thanks to Charlène Pelut for these sweet images.
