The Pool Podcast
Good morning !
Each collection is for me an opportunity to explore a new universe, in order to define what the wardrobe of the season will be. The wardrobe of the Fauve Woman this summer is joyful, colorful, at the same time elegant and a bit offbeat, and I wanted to concentrate this playfulness around a pretty theme: The Swimming Pool. A real swimming pool, with diving boards, swimming lanes, slides. And we were lucky to be welcomed at La Grande Motte in the perfect place for this staging.
I enjoyed going to browse the retro iconography, a bit pin up, a bit femme fatale. This Epinal image from the 50s of bathers is accompanied by a very particular colorimetry. This play on colors and shots was wonderfully executed by our photographer Charlène Pélut.
This desire for full colour was reinforced during my research by immersing myself in the paintings of David Hockney, who staged many views of swimming pools: bright yellow, intense blue, pink… My palette was created around these frank and summery tones: cobalt blue, fizz yellow, turquoise blue joined the ultra violet, shocking pink and very green.
In this new podcast episode, I tell you about the inspirations for this summer wardrobe, the women who embody this summer look at Maison Fauve. I describe how the range of colors works together, and I present to you in more detail the sewing patterns and fabrics that make up the La Piscine wardrobe. Each model has particularities that I will present to you, as well as the choice of fabrics adapted to the patterns. New fabrics have also appeared in the range of materials such as cotton satin , cotton gabardine , and a new reference of pastel cotton jacquards highlighted with precious lurex thread .
Great discovery!
