Maison Fauve, here we go!

There you go, the adventure begins in earnest…. It is with a little feeling in my stomach and a lot of emotion that I am publishing my very first article on the site today. It's a new and slightly crazy adventure that's starting for me, because it's a set of small events that led me to want to share a bit of my life through a wide open window, and a lot of my passion for clothes. I am the happy mother of 2 little boys, and it was during maternity leave for my 2nd son that I decided to devote myself to sewing (it was last October). I have been designing ideal “wardrobes” for a long time, and I decided during this time off from work to contact a seamstress so that she could create certain pieces for me. This person giving lessons, she offered to learn how to make the models rather than entrust them to her. We started with a simple model from my “collection” (yes because the lady kindly framed me when I submitted my models and my inspirations from the “special HC collection” issue of Vogue…), and it’s so I learned about sewing. I had never used a sewing machine, I knew nothing about this wonderful and abundant world of amateur seamstresses, and learning to sew was like love at first sight. I love fashion enormously, the world of haute couture and its technicality have always fascinated me, and it is with passion that I dove into the deep end of couture. I started sharing some of my creations on thread and needles and Instagram, I started following sewing blogs closely, amazed by the modernity of the clothes that you can make and the pleasure of making it yourself. his garment from existing patterns. It was while following the Make my lemonade blog that I discovered a competition relayed by the site, in order to promote a professional women's project. And it was following an evening “a bit POM-PE-LOP” (or pump it up but you get the point ;) where I was discussing my couture creations with friends (around a bottle of rosé…) that the project was born. So I signed up a month ago with the somewhat crazy (completely crazy!) project of creating my own pattern brand, knowing that I started sewing with 10 hours of classes 11 months ago and that I of course have no training as a model maker. I took out my old sketches, I ordered some books (a huge thank you to Pauline Alice who very kindly advised me after I contacted her to ask for information), I rolled out the tissue paper and the pattern canvas and off I go. Not feeling capable of grading my models and wishing to have an enlightened eye on my prototypes, I contacted a model maker who agreed to collaborate on my project….and here I am before you today to present Maison Fauve . For me, it is about sharing both the clothes that I sew from existing patterns, and also the clothes made from the patterns that I will strive to create and offer to you over the months. Having a busy professional and personal life, my August holidays were an opportunity to give a huge boost to all of this (creating the brand, the company, finding people to work with to finalize the development patterns, establish the image that I wanted to attribute to my brand and set up this blog thanks to friends who are professionals in the field, find the hours to have the canvases in my collection undone and redone, and other surprises but I keep a little under the pedal... ;) The blog will therefore be an opportunity for me to share with you this crazy company that is starting! So I welcome you to my home, Draw me boss…clap 1st ! The famous competition which motivated this major upheaval is on the Clinique brand website, and if you wish to support my project you can vote until August 31 on this link: http://www.clinique-faceforward.fr/show ?id=6159471 (and repeat it every day, because it's better )
