Want something soft in pastel tones... Quick, a Tsar trench coat!

Good morning!

If you follow me on Instagram you have probably seen this gem, my new TSAR trench coat in Atelier Brunette gabardine.

When Atelier Brunette offered me to sew this marvel of gabardine , I immediately jumped at it with a precise idea of what I wanted: a bubble of softness to warm me up on spring/summer evenings. And the color range for this new gabardine including this powder pink color, I didn't hesitate.

The fabric is of great quality but above all it is soft... a little peach! Atelier Brunette describes it as a twill-sergé-look garbardine, hence the diagonal weft effect and the soft touch. It is also supple (well for gabardine, eh) which makes it pleasant and not too heavy for a piece like Tsar.

For the finishing touches, I took care of every detail, and my sewing is 100% Atelier Brunette: I chose the Joy buttons in melba color , and the Shade Cactus fabric for the lining (the green of the patterns is perfect with the pink of the main fabric, a successful combination ;) ).

I am completely hooked on my trench coat, it is exactly as I had imagined it! And I am happy to have thought about a piece that I love down to the smallest details, because it is the type of work that takes time and costs a little money, so you have to consider wearing it for a long time and that will be the case for me :)

Nice evening!
